Starting hourly rates depend on the position for which you are applying, as well as any previous related experience. Jobs are offered year-round unless otherwise noted. The fluid nature of the performing arts lets us offer very flexible scheduling. Daytime, evening, and weekend hours are available depending on the position. Some jobs offer when-available calls that do not require you to commit to working hours in advance. You must currently be enrolled as an undergraduate student to apply for a position.

Job Title: Audio Services Apprentice
Supervisor: Kristine Eckerman- Audio Manager
Availability: Daily and when-available calls. Hours based upon event schedules.
Job Description: Audio Services Apprentices will be trained in the operation of mixing consoles and processors, audio system design and installation, and equipment maintenance and repair. They will work as part of the team that provides audio support for Center productions. They may also assist in the installation, maintenance, and operation of video, communication, and intercom systems throughout the Center.
Qualifications (Skills needed and requested):
- Be able to follow technical instructions.
- Be able to work as part of a team.
- Have an interest in audio systems and sound reinforcement.
- Previous experience with live sound systems is a plus.
- Ability to work more than 8 feet above the ground is a plus.

Job Title: Coat Check Attendant (No Positions currently available)
Supervisor: Allison Fory-House Management Coordinator
Availability: Evening and weekend hours only. Position is seasonal.
Job Description: Coat Check Attendants will operate the coat check center located in the lobby of the Center. They will collect, store, and return items dropped off by patrons. They will have the opportunity to work directly with patrons, and provide friendly, prompt and accurate customer service before, during, and after each performance.

- Be responsible, dependable and flexible.
- Be able to problem solve and work proactively.
- Experience or strong interest in the arts is a plus.

Job Title: Costume Shop Stitcher
Supervisor: Sue Chaing-Costume Coordinator
Availability: 6-20 hrs per week during shop hours:
Mon, Wed, Thurs 1:00 - 6:00, Tues 1:00 - 5:00, Fri 10:00 - 2:00.
Minimum work call is 2 hours.
Job Description: Costume shop stitchers will prepare fabric (including washing, pressing, and rolling), hand and machine sew muslin mock-ups and fabric costumes, and assist in fittings. They will also maintain costumes, restock items in costume storage, organize sewing supplies, prepare and maintain costume racks, and perform administrative tasks.
Qualifications (Skills needed and requested):
- Possess demonstrated sewing experience, including completion of THET 114 and THET 479 (costume shop hours) to acceptable standards. If coursework has not been completed at CSPAC, a sewing test may be required. You may be asked to provide examples of garments sewn elsewhere.

Job Title: Electric Services Apprentice
Supervisor: Andrew Haag - Electrics Manager
Availability: Daily and when-available calls.
Job Description: Electric Services Apprentices will be trained in the safety standards used in theatre and lighting, light board and follow spot operation, and proper hanging and circuiting techniques in CSPAC venues. They will have the opportunity to work with other students, graduate students, and professional lighting designers. This position has the possibility of advancement, through demonstration of a mastery of skills, to become a Student Electrician or a Student Electrics Supervisor.

- Have an interest in theatrical lighting and technology.

Job Title: Event Services Crew
Supervisor:Aaron Muller-Event Coordinator
Availability: Daily and when-available calls. Hours based upon event schedules.
Job Description: Event Services Crew members will be part of the team that plans and executes events at CSPAC. They will set up the event, serve as the shift crew for the event, and take the show down when it is finished. They will work under the supervision of an Event Coordinator or a Stage Manager to ensure the smooth running of events that range from simple lectures and recitals to complex international performing arts showcases.

Job Title: Finance Assistant
Supervisor: Jacki Gutrick - Accounts Payable/Travel Specialist
Availability: Hours are flexible Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm.
Job Description: Finance Assistants will work with the finance staff to process invoices and contracts, review payroll data for accuracy, assist with payroll verification, update various spreadsheets, maintain human resource and accounting files and provide backup assistance for the Center�s receptionist.

- Have working knowledge of MS-Excel and MS-Word.

Job Description: House Managers will prepare and open venues before performances, take tickets, distribute programs, assist patrons to their seats, ensure a smooth and timely intermission, close and clean venues at end of performances, and provide information to patrons. They will also monitor venues and audiences during performances to ensure a safe and positive experience for patrons.

Job Title: Paint Shop Apprentice
Supervisor: Ann Chismar - Paint Shop Supervisor
Availability: Daily and when-available calls.
Job Description: Paint Shop Apprentices will be trained in the art of scenic painting. This includes the painting and texturing of scenic drops, set pieces, props, and flooring, as well as sculpting and modeling techniques. They will have the opportunity to work with fellow students and professionals in the paint shop at CSPAC. This position has the possibility of advancement, through demonstration of a mastery of skills, to become a Charge Painter or a Scenic Artist.

- Have previous experience in drawing and painting.
- Have an interest in fine arts and painting.

Job Title: Prop Shop Apprentice
Supervisor: Tim Jones - Prop Shop Manager
Availability: Daily and when-available calls.
Job Description: Prop Shop Apprentices will be trained in the safety standards used in shop work and construction, as well as the safe operation of a variety of tools and construction techniques. These will include fine woodworking, a variety of craft work, basic sewing and welding, and how to read and understand construction drawings. They will have the opportunity to work with fellow students and professionals in the prop shop at CSPAC. This position has the possibility of advancement, through demonstration of a mastery of skills, to become a Prop Shop Artisan or Prop Master.

Job Title: Scene Shop Administrative Assistant

Job Description: Scene Shop Administrative Assistants will work with the scene shop staff in maintaining inventory, purchase records, procurement, and interdepartmental coordination.

Job Title: Scene Shop Apprentice

Availability: Hours are flexible. The ability to work at least two 2-hour shifts per week is desired.
Job Description: Scene Shop Apprentices will be trained in the safety standards used in shop work and construction, as well as the safe operation of a variety of tools and construction techniques. They will become scenic carpenters and welders as they work with experienced students, professionals, and scene shop staff members in the scenery building process. This position has the possibility of advancement, through demonstration of a mastery of skills, to become a Scene Shop Carpenter/Welder.

Job Title: Scene Shop Draftsperson

Job Description: A Scene Shop Draftsperson will work with set designers and scene shop staff in drafting construction drawings of scenic elements.

Job Title: Ticket Office Representative (No Positions currently available)
Supervisor:Alex Pile - Assistant Ticketing Manager
Availability: Daytime, weekend, and evening hours. Weekend and evening availability is required.
Job Description: Ticket Office representatives are responsible for the processing of ticket orders both over the phone and at the window. Representatives provide thorough information about performances and ticket prices to our patrons. In addition, ticket office employees will maintain the mailing list on the computer database. Certain office tasks such as filing, maintaining office organization, and computer related projects will be assigned to the ticket office representative as needed. Superior customer service skills are a must.

- Be available to work evenings and weekends as required.

Job Title: Wardrobe Crew
Supervisor: Sue Chiang- Costume Shop Coordinator
Availability: During CSPAC productions during the academic year only. Must be available for the entire tech/performance period for a particular event.
Job Description: Wardrobe Crew members will attend selected rehearsals of performances, load-ins, quick change rehearsals, and all dress rehearsals and performances. Call times will be set by the Costume Shop staff or Stage Management. They will prepare and maintain costumes including laundering, pressing, tracking, presetting, and making repairs as necessary.

- Successful completion of THET 479 as Wardrobe Crew or comparable professional wardrobe experience.
